Why are they called Nuts & Bolts?
I think because normally they have cheerio's and pretzels, which represent nuts and bolts.
Well, ours don't have cheerio's.. so why aren't they called Peanuts & Pretzels?
Um, I don't know, I guess you could call them that.
And fishes! Do we have to put the fishes in? I really love fishes.
Yes, we have to put them in.
I don't think I am going to like this.....one bit.
Nuts & Bolts
1 Cup Butter
1 tbsp Soya Sauce
2 tbsp Worchestershire
1 tsp Onion Salt
1 tsp Garlic Salt
6 Cups Shreddies
1 Box or Bag of Cheddar Fish
1 Bag Prezels (about 400g)
2 Cups Salted Peanut
1 tbsp Soya Sauce
2 tbsp Worchestershire
1 tsp Onion Salt
1 tsp Garlic Salt
6 Cups Shreddies
1 Box or Bag of Cheddar Fish
1 Bag Prezels (about 400g)
2 Cups Salted Peanut
Mix shreddies, fish, pretzels and peanuts in a roaster. In a sauce pan, combine butter, and seasonings, stir until melted. Pour over cereal and mix well. Bake uncovered for about 1.5 hours @ 250 F, stirring every 20 minutes. Recipe doubles well, and is strongly advised!
P.S. No fishes were hurt in the process of making this recipe.
P.S.S. Klip still refuses to eat the fish, but he LOVES the shreddies.. he just wanted you to know.
Dinnon's favorite was by far the pretzels! Happy Holidays!
Made this today! Thanks for sharing Bonnie. Added some Cashews and some Sour Cream and Onion Crispers... oh yum! Great flavour.
