Drumstick Pie

Hello! Happy June 21st :)
Today marks the "official" first day of summer. Yay!
It is also my parents 41st wedding anniverary. So
a quick shout out to them. Happy Anniversary! I know last week I talked about cupcakes, but it was
so hot, and sunny, so I set out to make this pie instead.
Perfectly cold, on a hot day. Ok.. perfect on any day.
First, take 2 cups graham crumbs, and combine with
1/4 cup melted butter.Reserve about 1/4 cup,
and press the rest into the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
In a bowl combine, 1 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup sugar,
1 block softened cream cheese, 4 eggs,
& 2 tsp vanilla. Whip until smooth.
Then you need to FOLD in a container of cool whip.
No chopping, or stirring, only folding, until you have
nicely combined all the peanut buttery
goodness with the whip cream.
Pour onto graham crust, and level out.
Then sprinkle with the reserved graham crumbs,
drizzle with chocolate sauce, and top with chopped nuts.
Any type will do. I used pecans.

Then, cover with saran wrap, and pop it in the freezer.
Freeze it at least an hour, but I think it's best overnight.
Take out about 1o minutes before ready to serve.
Yum! So good, so so good.

Be sure and taste test all the way through.
And..if at all possible, eat desert first :)

Alfalfa & Sam

This is Alfalfa & Sam :) I am sure you can see the slight
genetic resemblence between them. Mom must been a
combo of colors & stripes, but little Alfy definitely got
his dads eyes, and sheepish grin :)

4 more sleeps until Father's Day! We are going to bbq,
and possibly make cupcakes? Of course
cupcakes will be involved :)

I found these cool burgers and fries on Bakerella's
blog. So fun, and yummy I am sure!
Check them out ----> here!

Dad Approved! Father's Day : Sunday June 20th

Hello! Happy Monday :)
I hope you all had a great weekend, and that
this rainy week passes quickly to get to the sunshine!

Meet Melroy, Leonard, and Winston.
Ties, hair patches, crazy brows, reading glasses, and a 'stache.
For surely a few fabulous "dad-ish" characteristics.

These guys, hopefully along with a few more,
will be at the next Red Deer market this Saturday,
which is just in time for Father's Day on Sunday!

Stop by and check them out!

Disguise Yourself with a Stache!

Hello! Happy Rainy Thursday. They say tomorrow the sun
should be shining brightly, I hope they are right!

So.. mustaches are a pretty hot topic in our house. My hubby
has one, my boys are trying to grow one, and I am trying to
prevent one from EVER happening :) ha!

These mustaches though.. are super fun, super easy!
I found a link or two, you can download some different
templates here and here. Or, just wing it!

Supplies you will need :
- Felt ( I got some sturdy felt from Michael's)

I also picked up a sheet of brown foam as well.

- Hot glue gun / glue sticks

- Popsickle sticks or 1/4 " dowel

- Scissors

So I set out and drew up a few different types.
A chico stash, a Fu Man Chu, Hulk Hogan's, Long Ones,
Short Ones, Skinny Ones, Fat Ones!

Cut them out ....

Glue your sticks to the back ....

And Voila! Have a photoshoot! :O)

Pictured here is Derkinshnaw, he felt extra

Debonaire with this stash ;)

Rain Rain Go Away

Hiya! Happy JUNE! Hard to believe it's June with this chilly
weather! I am not a fan of +30, but in June, I am not
so much a fan of rain &+3, with frost at night!

It's been so windy, and blustery out, that I am really hoping this
weekend will pull through with some sunshine! The weatherman
seems to change his story alot though.
This is all my market stuff. Buckets, table cloth, monsters
( I do feel bad for holding them hostage in that container,
but they reassure me they are fine). I have had this packed
up for a couple of weeks now, and the weather has just
not been nice enough to make it to the Red Deer Market.
Rain the first week, and SNOW last week. Ack!
Maybe this weekend, ---> Hopefully!
I haven't been up to alot of sewing, I am not really sure where
the days go sometimes. I have a few newbies to finish off. And a few bodies that need to be stuffed, & a huge pile of socks,
but I am lacking some motivation currently, I need some sun,
and happy Monster Adoption :)
My supplies are plentiful, and I hope to get to a market soon!
I have signed up for a few new ones this year in Bentley,
Sylvan Lake, and Red Deer :) I will post when I know what
days I will be attending. Weather will be a factor with a couple.
I have also been crocheting , and have turned all my
colorful circles into squares, & stithced together. I am
currently working on the edging, and once it's blocked
& finished, I will post a final pic :)

Hope you are having a great week!
