Holiday Conclusion

Hello! Happy Wednesday!
A short post to finish up our holiday, and then
I will update you later in the week on some
new monstery stuff :)
Another favorite : Goats on the Roof Market
It's called that.. because there are GOATS
right on the roof :) It's so awesome there! The baking,
the pottery, the baking.. :) hehe If you are ever in
Coombs, you must check it out!
Early in the mornings when the tide was low we were able to
walk along the rocks and found all kinds of cool starfish!
The kids found a few crabs,
and these groovy green guys, not sure what they are
called, but they are super awesome :)

All in all, our trip was awesome. We had a great time, and

were surrounded by great company :) We did ALOT of driving,

but as you can see, it was pretty comfy :)

See you soon!!

(P.S. Hi Tristan :) Love you!)

Hello! Happy Friday! I haven't been to the Enchanted Forest for about
18 years (ack). So we had to make the stop, it seems
not matter what age you are, it is quite
the intruiging little place.
The kids wanted to go in... but Dinnon refused!
We of course stopped and Read EVERY Nursery Rhyme.
Even as teenagers, all in tune they would go
from one to the next.
Dinnon was super excited to meet the old lady who
lived in a shoe. He thought she was nice, rather quiet :)
It was by far his most favorite part of the trip.
Everything was "Dinnon Size".. he was definitely
enchanted. He couldn't wait to tell Domo about
The 3 Bears, 3 Blind Mice, and the dish, that
ran away with the spoon!
Lastly we followed the Yellow Brick Road,
but Dorothy was no where to be found, and
the Lion wouldn't come out :(

Have a great weekend!!

Unfortunately I will NOT be at the Red Deer
Market tomorrow. It's a wee bit smokey for
the monsters! Next week though!

Hello! Happy Wednesday :)
I thought I would take a couple of blog posts to tell
you about Dinnon's summer vaca this year. He got
lucky and 2 of his friends, Stud & Krypto tagged along too :)
We made the long drive from Innisfail to Abbotsford the
first day, had a quick sleep, and then we were up bright and
early to catch the ferry in Vancouver. Dinnon was SO
excited, he had never seen a boat that big!
Such a pretty morning, and we were fairly early, so we
toured around the harbor a wee bit.
We found this BIG totem pole, played at the park,
and walked along the dock.

Our first Oceany find... a jelly fish! Super cool!
(AKA : Blob)

Tomorrow ---> The Enchanted Forest
Dinnon's FAVORITE place!

Hiya :)
Just a quick update. We have been off touring
lovely British Columbia for the last week. We had an
awesome vaca, but it's nice to be home too. Dinnon really
missed Domo & Klip...and Wheel of Fortune!

We toured all they way over to the West Coast, and
spent a few day in Tofino. It's an awesome little groovy town,
with SO much pretty ocean front. Over the next few days we
will be posting a few things that we saw while we were there :)
Hope you are all well!

Perfect with your coffee, cake :)

Hiya :) Happy Long Weekend!
It's a bit of a rainy, blustery day here, perfect for baking,
so we set out to make Coffee Cake. Not sure why it's
called coffee cake, there is no coffee in it. So we decided
it goes perfect with your coffee, milk, tea, or even just a fork!

In a Large Bowl you need : 3 1/2 cups flour
6 tsp baking powder, 1 1/3 cups sugar. Cut in
2/3 cup of margarine. Then make a well, and add :
2 cups milk, 2 eggs, & 1 tsp vanilla.
Stir to moisten, but do not over mix :)

Spread out in a 9x13 baking dish.

In a small bowl mix together :
4 tbsp margarine, 3/4 cup brown sugar, & 2 tsp cinnamon.
Sprinkle over cake, and bake for 45 minutes @ 375.

Let cool & Enjoy!

P.S. I doubled this can easily be cut in half and
baked in a 8x8 pan for approximately 30 minutes.
