Carstairs Pumpkin Festival

Hello:) Happy Friday!
Tomorrow I will be at the Carstairs Pumpkin Festival from 12 to 4pm, which is held at the Curling Rink ! I will have
lots of newbie monsters, and even a monkey or two :)

There is something for everyone at the festival, including
a pumpkin seed spitting competition, and a mini trade show.

Check out the pumpkin contest, taste test the awesome pies,
and shop for local baking, crafts, and preserves!

Pumpkin pies, pumpkin loaves, pumpkin cakes, pumpkin
muffins & pumpkin cookies! Along with sunflowers, scarecrows,
and.. did I mention pumpkins? :)

Hope to see you there!!

Domo Arigoto, Mr. Roboto

Hello! I hope you all had a good weekend!
We had football, yardwork, and made cake pops!
Yum!! I was super excited when I received my
Bakerella Cake Pop book last week, we had
to try some of them out this weekend. If you haven't heard about Bakerella yet, you are missing out!
You can check out her fabulous blog here, and check out
her recently released cake pop book too!
So, there are over 40 different little cake pop
"patterns", we decided on the robots.
Bender decided to help out, he was the official taste tester.
Not a bad job when there is chocolate, candy, sugar,
cake, and more sugar involved :) Along with Candy Melts, we raided the candy
store, picking up all the"neccessities".
And after just a few, I let the kids take over and come
up with all these little master creations. 3D eyes,
headphones, sweatbands, hair, they had it ALL.
(And I had a HUGE mess to clean up)But they were super fun, and yummy too!
I will admit, these are not as easy as they look, I
had some major cracking issues, & some chocolate issues.

So my advice... read the tips.. BEFORE you make these.
Pretty Simple!

Hope you have a great week!

September :)

Hello! Happy September :)
I can't believe we are nearly at the 1/2 way mark!
I am happy to report 4 darling children settled back in
SCHOOL. Yahoo! I love routine :)
I am still doing the odd Red Deer market, as long as
the weather permits. It's pretty dark and chilly most
mornings, brrr. Definitely feels like fall! I am working away
to get my stock up for 7 Fall / Christmas shows this year.
The most I have ever done.. I pray I didn't overbook.
So far.. the above is my setup at home...
A little closer look at some newbies :) I have already fallen
in love with one, and am not sure if I can part with him!
I have also gotten a wee bit of crochet done lately. This super
cute giraffe, and duck.. since this photo I have completed an
elephants, and part of a bear. All free patterns from lionbrand!

So as the weather keeps cooling off, I will be posting whether
or not I will be at the Red Deer Market.

My first craft show later this month :
September 25th, from 10 to 4
Carstairs Pumpkin Festival :)

This will be my FIRST time attending, and since
Halloween is my FAVORITE time of year,
I can't wait!
