Do you know how good Ginger is for you?
It has tonnes of health benefits! Google it.. there are ALOT.
I am not sure if Ginger snaps fall in that category..but I
I am not sure where this recipe originally came from, but
I had it passed down from a dear Aunt, who seriously knows
how to bake ;) So, to make these "crispy on the outside,
chewy in the center" Ginger Snaps, you will need :
- 1 1/2 cups margarine
(melt for 1 minute in microwave)
- 2 cups of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup of molasses
the molasses will NOT stick. Do it.
So, you cream the melted butter and sugar together, then
- 4 cups flour
- 4 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp ginger
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
( I think the sifting is actually just for the flour, but
I throw in my spices to get it all mixed together)
wee bit, in between each addition.
